Products - General
Can I purchase replacement chargers/remote controls?
Yes, these are available to purchase on the Accessories page of our website.
Can I use lubricant with my toy?
Yes, lube can be used for all products that are labelled as waterproof. Please only use water-based lubricant.
How do I clean my toy?
Our waterproof toys can simply be rinsed. Alternatively, and for those toys that are not waterproof, use toy cleaner or wipe with a damp cloth.
Is my toy waterproof?
With the exception of JETT, all of our toys are waterproof. Please note not all remotes are waterproof.
Can I replace the battery in my toy?
Typically the batteries can not be replaced in our toys. The exceptions are our remote controls and JETT, which use disposable batteries.
How long should the toy last per charge?
Please refer to the instruction manual for your specific toy. On average our toys will run anywhere between 40 minutes and 1.5 hours.
How long should I charge my toy for?
Please refer to the instruction manual for your specific toy. On average our toys require 2-4 hours charging time.
What batteries do your products use?

JETT FAQs
What’s the best way to use JETT?
You will get the most out of JETT if you play with different Treble & Bass settings. Turning both bullets up to the max will cause the vibrations from each bullet to simply cancel each other out.
How do I avoid losing the sweet spot when the motors synchronise and start oscillating?
To avoid the motors dropping out of sync, always try to have the Treble setting slightly higher than the Bass setting.
Do I need to have an erection in order to use JETT?
As long as the silicone sleeve isn’t too loose around your penis (in which case you will need to hold the sleeve in place), you can use the toy completely flaccid.
Can I use JETT hands-free?
Once erect, the toy can be used completely hands-free.
Is JETT waterproof?
No.
I am struggling to get the sleeve on, what do I do?
Using a little lubricant should help – don’t be scared to really stretch the silicone.
Does the toy fit all shapes and sizes of penises?
The silicone sleeve is very stretchy and is designed to fit 90% of penises. That said, the sleeve may be too tight if you have a very large girth, and minimum length is 8cm.
What batteries does JETT take?
4x AA batteries.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
Unfortunately not. Rechargeable batteries are slightly bigger than disposable batteries and will therefore not fit the device.
ATOM PLUS FAQs
How do I put the toy on?
Firstly, when you receive your brand new ATOM PLUS, give it a really good stretch to loosen it up. Don’t be concerned if the toy makes slight cracking sounds – this is normal. Hold the toy horizontally with both hands and stretch the toy in order to elongate the hole. Now drop your balls through the gap. Turn the toy vertically and push your flaccid penis through the gap. You are now ready to turn the toy on and enjoy.
Can I combine the ATOM PLUS with any other Hot Octopuss toy?
Yes, for the ultimate experience combine the ATOM PLUS with one of our static Guybrators such as PULSE or JETT.
My toy won’t turn on, what do I do?
Ensure you are pressing the function button (small bump on the bottom chrome plate) for a good 2-3 seconds.
Is ATOM PLUS a solo or couples toy?
Both! As well as being great for adding extra stimulation during penetrative sex, ATOM PLUS is amazing when used for solo masturbation (either on its own or in combination with one of our static Guybrators such as PULSE or JETT).
Does the toy fit all shapes and sizes of penises?
Unfortunately not. Although the toy is designed to fit 85% of penises, it will not fit if you have a very large girth and minimum length is 8cm.
PULSE SOLO & DUO RANGE FAQs
Can I use PULSE hands-free?
Yes. The easiest way to do this is to rest the toy on something to support its weight. An example would be kneeling with the toy supported by a cushion.
The toy just isn’t doing the trick for me, what can I do?
Our bodies are hard-wired to receive stimulation in a certain way and to some extent the stimulation that PULSE provides can be a little counter-intuitive at first.
Here are a few tips that might help if you are a first time user:
- We would advise that if this is the first time you have used PULSE, you begin by using the toy with lubricant as a masturbator. This perhaps feels a little more natural than using the toy static. Once you are used to the sensation delivered by the PulsePlate you can start to experiment with holding this against your frenulum as a static stimulator.
- PULSE works best at lower settings (the higher settings can simply make you numb if you don’t build up to them slowly). Although it is tempting to immediately go up the gears, you should try to refrain.
- Take your time with PULSE and allow it to build slowly – try not to rush the experience.
- Give it a few goes to help get your mind and body get used to the sensation. Get accustomed to the different ways you can apply pressure to yourself once you are in the toy. You might just discover the perfect spot.
Do I need to use lubricant?
The toy can be used static without lubricant, in which case you just let the PulsePlate do all the work. Alternatively, you can use lubricant and stroke with the toy.
Does the toy fit all shapes and sizes of penises?
Unfortunately not. Although the toy is designed to fit 85% of penises, it will not fit if you have a very large girth or your penis isn’t long enough to reach the PulsePlate (minimum length is about 8cm).

I can’t get my fingers through the band, what do I do?
Please be aware that there are two ways to put the toy on. Smaller fingers can simply be slid through the holes. There is a different technique for larger fingers. Please refer to the instruction manual for further information about this.
Does the toy fit all shapes and sizes of fingers?
Unfortunately not. Although the toy is designed to fit 85% of fingers, it will not fit fingers that are particularly wide. Length, however, should not pose a problem.
Pocket PULSE & Pocket PULSE Remote FAQs
Is Pocket PULSE just a smaller version of PULSE?
No, don’t let the names confuse you. The toys use very different technology. Also, Pocket PULSE is exclusively a stroker, whilst PULSE can also be used static. Please visit the PULSE range page to view the products options.

Unfortunately not. Although the toy is designed to fit 85% of penises thanks to its flexible arm, it will not fit if you have a very large girth, and minimum length is approx 8cm.

Warranty & Returns FAQs
Do Hot Octopuss products come with a warranty?
Yes, we offer a one year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in workmanship of the product. Please visit our warranty page for more details.
How does the warranty process work?
We will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number and ask you to return the product to us. Once we’ve evaluated the product and deemed that it falls within the warranty, we will send you a replacement.
Can I return the product if I don’t like it?
Please refer to our Sexcellent Returns Policy for details on how to do this.
If I return my product, what do I need to send back?
Ideally everything (toy, gift box, travel pouch, remote, charging cable etc…), however, if you no longer have these, returning just the toy will suffice.
What if I have a problem with my product, but it falls outside of the warranty period?
We will try to troubleshoot with you, however, we will not be able to replace the item.
If my product is deemed to fall within a warranty claim, can I choose a different replacement product?
Unfortunately not. Warranty claims are for exchanges of the same item only.
